Thanks to Samir and Shilpa I have become aware there is much more to life than just this physical world in which we are stuck, in turn restraining the mind. Backaches started over 20 years ago and now at 40 I am pretty much free from it, feeling younger and healthier than ever on many levels. Yoga has exceeded my expectations, not just with the suppleness gained by my body but also of the mind and has literally changed my life, for the better. For ever grateful to all my Teachers. I know there is so much more to come as I delve deeper in the energy bodies and I hope to continue inspiring people to reach their full lifes potential for a long time

Tameeka Vera
Owner - Thank You Yoga
Location - Heyfield (207 kms from Melbourne)
As a dairy farmer and mother of 3 young boys, committing the time to my yoga teacher training with Yoga and Meditation School Of India was a big decision to make. However it changed not only my life but that of my families, which we will be forever grateful for. The 2.5hr trip each way on a Sunday provided a fabulous opportunity to reflect on the courses teachings and of course chant! Now I share this traditional, honest and amazing knowledge with the people of my local town (Heyfield) who constantly thank and love what this true yoga brings to their lives. From sharing with adults I have now incorporated these traditional teachings into childrens classes and it simply lights up your life when you can make this kind of difference for someone else. Jo Wallis
Owner - Mortlake Yoga and Wellness Studio
Location - Mortlake Vic ( 217km sw from Melb CBD)
Since completing my Yoga Teacher Training in February 2017 from this school, I have been teaching Traditional Yoga within my small local community of Mortlake, SW Victoria. Classes range from 4 year old Kinder kids to general classes up to the age of 80, and most recently monthly advanced yoga intensives for those wanting to deepen their practice further. Classes are held in our beautiful home studio set within our gardens and small farm. Offering yoga classes along with my massage therapy enables me to give more to the health and wellbeing of my community, as in the country we often lack alternatives to health care or we have to travel long distances to acquire it if it is even available. I am inspired by my students by hearing how good they feel after doing yoga and seeing their health, physical strength and flexibility improve along with the feeling of calmness and happiness within.

After completing my yoga teacher training level 1 course with Yoga and Meditation school of India in Melbourne i started teaching yoga in Dili the capital of Timor-Leste, the country located just above Darwin. I was teaching for one year at a small studio called Dili Wellness, which offers yoga, pilates, massage, and dance. It was interesting to teach to people from such a variety of ages and cultural backgrounds, including Timorese people who had never even heard of yoga before I also taught at an international school and at a women`s shelter, a very special and enriching experience. We recently moved to Sydney, and I teach yoga once a week to university students living at the residential college where I work the students love it as a study break! I‘ve started teaching meditation and yoga nidra sessions with them as well .
